Does Dr. Almonte speak English?
Yes, she does. Don’t worry about it.What’s the minimum of days I can stay?
The recommended stay is 10 days, the minimum stay required is 8 days for any surgery.How would I know who’s picking me up at the Airport?
Our Taxi will have sign with your name when you get to the exit.How long will my recovery be?
Recovery time depends on how you how your body develops after the surgery, most patients take from 4 to 6 weeks to be able to return to work, however, it’ll depend on your body and how you feeling.What accommodation are available if I come from out of the country?
We offer a package that includes Recovery House, Transportation to and from airport, meds, pre surgery test and bloodwork, and some other things that could vary depending on the procedure you will get.Will I need to take time off work for my recovery? If so, for how long?
Most patients take from 4 to 8 weeks, however, you could choose your recovery time as well.Is plastic surgery covered by insurance?
If the surgery is for reconstructive purposes, insurance may cover your procedure. For cosmetic surgeries, insurance is usually not involved. As well, there is a mandatory international medical insurance that needs to be purchase prior surgery. This will cover any complications cause by the surgery with up to US$15,000.00 in medical reimbursement.Are there any products or behaviors I should limit to prepare for surgery?
- Stop taking any non-prescribed supplements (vitamins, minerals and herbal products) seven days prior to surgery.
- NO smoking at least six weeks prior to surgery to avoid healing problems and serious medical complications following surgery. (You might need to interconsult with the clinic’s pneumologist at an extra cost to be able to get clearance for surgery)
- Consult with us if you are taking aspirin or products with anticoagulation properties about when or whether to discontinue them before surgery to minimize the risk of unnecessary bleeding, as well, any other medication you might take.
